I accidentally stumbled upon the site the other day at work and the name immediately caught my attention. I came by with my lovely girlfriend and split a chicken wrap and some connecuh pizza.

The food was FANTASTIC! It was prepared with an exceptional look and taste. I love the atmosphere, with a unique owl at every table and everything designed and arranged to resemble one. Even though it's a small place, I think that the idea is huge and I wish you the best of luck with business (because I plan on coming back often!).

I was there with my Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law. We had a wonderful meal!! We loved everything we ate - of course we shared everything .... gouda grits, Tony burger, grilled tuna steak, shrimp and grits, greens, beans & mushrooms, and last but not least bread pudding!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tony, thank you for all that you are doing to up grade Mobile!!!

............this is what I was when I tasted those collard greens.........this is what kept falling 'cause my dish was sooooo great........this is what i was willing to dish out more of to get more cornbread..........this is what happened when i was so full, I could eat no more.....but, today's another day....... i just might drive back over......hmmmmm...... That was some of the best home-cooked food I've eaten on a "eating-out" basis in a long, long time. Just awesome !!!!!!!

Chef Tony knows how to cook! That Stuffed Tony Burger will change your life forever!!! No joke! I think I have dreams of eating the burger until I go back and get to eat there again.. then the dreams start back over. Place is unbelievable!!

It will come as no surprise to you to say we were pleased from our first visit. We were in last Friday evening. I ordered the daily special, Baked Fish with a Creamy Crawfish topping and Green Beans & Gouda Grits (so fun to say!). oh, if it were only proper to "slap my mama"! Barry ordered Sauteed Gulf Shrimp, a bowl of the Beer & Bean soup, Creole New Potatoes, and Green Beans. He's been back two times this week that I know of! I think he was kind of glad I was too sick to cook all week!! He'll be stopping by this afternoon...again..(I swear, I really am sick!) for some more take out! Barry is not easily impressed. You've won him over. Maybe too well!! Thanks for bringing awesome cuisine to WeMo!!

After looking for "that one special place to eat", I've finally found it!

Beside "Culinary Arts" in the dictionary should be a picture of the Hungry Owl. Keep up the great job.

I have eaten at the Hungry Owl many times and I am very impressed with the consistant qulity of the food and the freindly, clean atmosphere. This is fine dining food quality with a down home friedly, resonable price. I hope that you'll stay in business for many years to come.

I'm in love with your Creole BBQ Shrimp with grits! I wish you could serve it more often.

I've never had a better hamburger then the Stuffed Tony Burger. I keep coming back to try different dishes and have never been disapointed. If only everything wasn't so good then I would have an easier time actually choosing what I wanted.
